In 2020 I got my Brokers license and have been the managing broker in Poteau, OK since then.
What do you recommend to first time home buyers?
The most important thing for any home buyer is for them to get a preapproval before even looking at homes. It will help to establish a budget, know what price range to look at, and give them an advantage over other buyers that aren’t pre approved yet.
What can homeowners do to raise value?
If someone is thinking of renovating part of their house to add value or to resell the home, the best place to update would be the kitchen or bathrooms. These rooms add the most value to a house. Also, always stick with neutral colors (gray, light brown, etc.)
What do you think is important in succeeding in the real estate profession?
To succeed in this industry you must be friendly, and accessible. I realize that buying or selling a property is one of the biggest decisions a person can make, and strive to make it as stress free as possible. There may be bumps in the road, but I feel like with my experience and being able to communicate and work closely with the title companies and lenders, we can navigate anything.
